“”It’syour boy, Fauci, the patron saint of Purell,” “quipped McKinnon. “”s you probably heard, we got some excellent news this week, and I’m not just talking about J.Lo and Ben Affleck. The CDC announced that vaccinated people no longer need to wear masks. … But a lot of people had questions.”” The schooling consisted of a series of sketches presenting different mask or unmask scenarios like … “” Man Walks Into a Bar.”” Aidy Bryant explains to bar customer Beck Bennett that he can be unmasked — but only if hhe’svaccinated.
“”I’m entering a bar at 11 a.m.,” “he responds. “”id you really think I was vaxxed? Because that’s you.””“” You’re right,”” says Bryant. “”deserve COVID.”” In another bit, couple Alex Moffat and Cecily Strong determine tthey’reOK without masks in a crowd outside the Capitol. “”ow common llet’sget “em”” says Strong, pulling out a gun. Moffat pops on a red “”make America Great Again” “hat.
Then there was a very awkward personal scene when vaccinated couple Andrew Dismukes and Chloe Fineman pull off their masks to have dinner together outdoors. “”h no,”” says Fineman. “”ddon’tlike the bottom of your face!””Bowen Yang, Ego Nwodim, and Pete Davidson got randier.
Bennett suggested that the sketch ended with a vision for the future with everyone vaccinated and dancing, ready to work together again, maybe to solve the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Or not. “Please, everyone get the vaccine, and enjoy life with no masks,” says “Fauci.”
